• A website was selected and purchased to house all information about IDGE including developed lesson plans and on-line modules. This site will also host information regarding other NSF-supported science education outreach of project investigators. The site can be located at http://wvscience.org

• Two unifying themes were selected which will tie all learning modules together. These themes include the following:
  • Utilize several orders of time magnitudes
  • Utilize multi-dimensional visual representations of geoscience data

Difficulties

Our original intent of 10 learning modules was ambitious. Project investigators will create 5 modules that target each of the cognitive dimensions required to be a geoscientist and also represent data from the 5 GLOBE investigation areas.

Best Ideas

Incorporating content specialists from a variety of sub-disciplines ensures that each topic be both relevant and rigorous for student use.
